Stephen Goodrich – Chief Executive Officer

Stephen Goodrich has more than 18 years experience in the payments industry. He was the co-founder and CEO of First Merchants Bancard Services (FMBS), which was sold to iPayment (NASDAQ:IPMT) in 2002. When sold, FMBS had grown to service approximately 20,000 merchant accounts that processed in excess of $1.5 billion annually. Steve founded PowerPay in 2003.

Jim Raftice has 10 years of experience in the payments industry. He is responsible for oversight of all aspects and functions of the company from finance to operations and sales. Additionally, he assists in the implementation of new products and continually works to improve PowerPay’s business processes.

Prior to joining the PowerPay team in 2004, Jim worked at Ford Motor Credit Company for seven years as Auditor and Loss Prevention Supervisor in Maine and Florida. Upon returning to Maine, he became an Underwriter for First Merchants Bancard Services (FMBS) and later served as Vice President of Underwriting at Vision Payment Solutions.

Jim holds a Bachelor’s Degree in History from the University of Southern Maine. He currently resides in Cumberland, Maine, with his wife and their three children.

Ron Greenberg – Chief Information Officer

Ron Greenberg – Chief Information Officer

Ron Greenberg has been active in the payment services field since 1982, starting as a founding employee of BuyPass. As Vice President of Technology at BuyPass, he was first to design many of the payment solution technologies that were later adopted by other processors, including electronic batch settlement, portable PIN pads and flexible terminal download systems.

After leaving BuyPass, Ron provided consulting services to several major banks as well as the USDA, where he co-authored a study on the implementation of smart card based delivery of EBT benefits. After this study was released for bidding, Ron was hired by National Processing Company to respond to the RFP from the USDA. While at NPC, Ron managed the development of their front end processing systems as well as the implementation of the smart card based EBT pilot program.

As a Vice President at Visa International, Ron initially managed the Merchant Systems Development group where he oversaw the design and implementation of several new leading edge products supporting the acquiring side of the business. Ron’s major accomplishment was the delivery of the first smart card based processing solution in Japan. Ron later moved on to Acceptance Management where he directed and chaired regional task forces to coordinate current and future direction for card acceptance for Visa. Prior to leaving Visa, Ron was part of the Year 2000 team where he managed all of the European and CEMEA Region member banks to ensure compliance with the Year 2000 conversion as well as the development of contingency plans for failure scenarios.

Kevin Smith – Vice President, Credit Services

Kevin Smith – Vice President, Credit Services

As Vice President of Credit Services for PowerPay, Kevin Smith oversees the Underwriting and Loss Prevention Departments, which includes risk, collections and bankcard standards. Responsible for the overall direction of both departments, Kevin also manages all policies, procedures/processes, and productivity. Kevin works with all business development channels, affiliates, sales executives, and other PowerPay departments to ensure consistency and continuity within those relationships. He is also responsible for identifying initiatives, projects or new products to improve department workflow. Kevin has 18 years of varied commercial/retail banking and financial institution experience, most recently as a Vice President and Senior Business Officer with Gorham Savings Bank and prior as President of SE Raelin Enterprises (A Venture Capital and Management Company operating out of the Ukraine, Russia, and Eastern Europe). Kevin attended Florida State University majoring in Finance with a concentration in Accounting.

Marci Gagnon – Vice President, Partner Relations and Internal Sales

Marci Gagnon is Vice President, Partner Relations and Internal Sales. Marci oversees a team of commerce specialists who collectively monitor more than 7,500 reseller relationships, new account creation and existing account maintenance. She is experienced in both the analytical and creative sides of marketing, developing and implementing a series of dashboards and reporting metrics to measure customer service, reseller relations and business development.

Marci began working for PowerPay in VAR Marketing and Reseller Relations in 2007. Prior to PowerPay, she spent three years at Maine based TGM, and four years at Cake Creative Group in Boston, MA

Marci attended College of New Rochelle earning a master’s degree in marketing, with a concentration in organizational communication. She currently resides in South Portland, Maine. In her spare time, Marci volunteers at Youth Alternatives, a Portland based program assisting youth at risk.

Jeff Akeson – Vice President, Third Party Sales

Jeff Akeson is responsible for the development of PowerPay brand awareness through MLS/ISO Sales Channel Growth, focusing on networking, recruiting and coaching efforts to expand PowerPay's position as a leader in Merchant Level Sales.

Jeff joined PowerPay in May of 2005, and has maintained the role of VP of Third Party Sales, focusing on personal support, training and guidance of Agents in the field. Jeff draws on his 20 years of sales experience, the last 12 years in bankcard. He was previously a founding employee of Cornerstone Payment Systems and Director of Sales & Marketing, until the company was sold to Sage Payment Systems. While with Cornerstone, Jeff facilitated the introduction of systemic tools, process flow and value-adds to expand market penetration and brand awareness to their agent base.

Jeff is a graduate of the University of New Hampshire, with a major in Communications and a minor in Business Administration. He resides in Alpharetta, GA with his wife Peggy.

Tricia Bride – Director, Merchant Services

Tricia Bride oversees all merchant account service activities at PowerPay, including customer service, new account creation and existing account maintenance. She is experienced in customer service, technical support, chargeback management and processing, sales support, interchange compliance, and Visa/MasterCard rules and regulations.

Tricia began working for PowerPay as customer service manager in 2004. Prior to PowerPay, Tricia spent 16 years at Vermont-based Chittenden Trust Company. Chittenden named her assistant vice president in charge of merchant operations in 2001.

Tricia received a Bachelor of Fine Arts Degree from Emerson College.

Matt Welch – Director, Technical Services

Matt Welch is the Director of Technical Services and oversees the 24/7 technical support team and contributes to company relations by acting as the agent liaison. His responsibilities include building and growing PowerPay’s support channels through implementing and training staff on new technologies, as well as monitoring inventory and call volume and handling all escalated technical issues.

Prior to joining the team, Matt served as a manager and district inventory specialist at Wellby and CVS Drug Stores and as a real estate broker at Po-Go Realty.

A graduate of the University of Maine, Orono, Matt earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration. He currently resides in Hollis, Maine, and has two children. In his free time, Matt serves as a coach for youth baseball, soccer and basketball.

Joe Libby – Director, Loss Prevention

Joe Libby – Director, Loss Prevention

Joe Libby is the Director of Loss Prevention at PowerPay. In this role, he is responsible for all transactional monitoring of PowerPay's merchant portfolio by the internal Risk Analyst team, chargeback monitoring by the company's Bankcard Standards Group as well as all internal and external collection efforts. Joe works closely with the company's agents and merchants to ensure proper operation of merchant accounts and to mitigate problems before they arise in order to protect the bottom line.

Prior to joining PowerPay in June 2008, Joe spent the previous 14 years in Institutional Investment Services with CitiGroup, Merrill Lynch, KeyBank, and Fidelity Investments, specializing in Operations and Relationship Management. He is an active member of the Merchant Acquirers' Committee, President of the Board of Directors of his local Little League and Vice President of the Board of Directors for a local community trust.

Joe received a Bachelor's Degree from the University of Maine in Business Administration with a focus in Finance and Marketing.

Tracy Coyne – Director, Partner Relations

Tracy Coyne joined PowerPay in February 2009 and is directly responsible for the development and growth of the Financial Institutions and Affinity Groups.

Previously, Tracy was the Vice President of Marketing at The Kessler Group, (KG) a sales and marketing company that pioneered the concept of affinity credit cards in the early 1970's. KG works with the World's leading financial institutions, such as Amex, MBNA & NOVA. Tracy worked with KG for over 13 years and brings strong expertise in marketing, analytics, customer retention, research, competitive analysis, client relations, creative strategies, cost savings and efficiency models. She was directly responsible for major marketing campaigns, account acquisition & quotas. She coordinated and implemented all aspects of large multifaceted marketing projects from inception, to roll-out, to long term company strategy.

Tracy holds a Bachelor of Arts in Communications from the University of Massachusetts, Amherst and resides in Scituate, MA with her husband David and 3 children.

Lisa Fisher – Director, Sales Support

As Director of Sales Support for PowerPay, Lisa Fisher oversees the daily support of PowerPay's external agent base. Lisa and her team work to assist in bringing on new agents, training agents on new products, and being the liaison between outside sales agents and internal departments. Lisa and her team also manage and support PowerPay's Working Capital programs.

Lisa started her career in processing as an outside sales agent before coming to PowerPay in 2008 to manage PowerPay Capital.

Originally from Philadelphia, PA, Lisa is a graduate of Temple University with a Bachelor of Arts in Business Communications. She resides in South Portland, ME.

Kevin Parlin – Director, Affiliate Relations

Kevin Parlin is the Director of Affiliate Relations at PowerPay.  Kevin oversees a team of dedicated experts who provide comprehensive one-on-one relationship management and ongoing consultation for more than 2,500 affiliate partners and their customers through PowerPay’s leading merchant account affiliate program.  He and his staff have held positions that encompass all aspects of the business from Operations to Business Development. This wide range of experience has generated a knowledgeable team with comprehensive support.

Kevin began working in Affiliate Relations for PowerPay in 2005 and has over 8 years of experience in the payments industry.  Prior to PowerPay, Kevin was the Regional Vice President at Leddy Group in Portland, Maine and, prior to that, worked with Stephen Goodrich at First Merchants Bancard Services. 

Kevin attended the University of Southern Maine, majoring in Human Resources with a concentration in Employee Recruitment and Retention.
